Quickie

Hello everyone! As usual we are running out of internet time and so won’t be able to write a proper blog entry, I’m afraid. Just to say we are well and more importantly, eating well here in Lyon! I reckon I’ve been adventurous with the eating, even for my standards. I had a steak tartare which turned out not t be steak with tartare sauce as I thought, or cold cuts of meat (when I ordered it the waiter said, “It’s cold,” and I said that was okay, unknowing…), but in fact raw mince with raw egg on top! It was actually very nice. Unfortunately last night I went quite adventurous and ordered calf liver and that was a bit of a flop.

We’re glad to move on to our next stop, though, if only for the shower, because our shower here is literally the width of the tip of M’s finger to his elbow! And to top it all off, it’s one of those push-button taps that go off after 10 seconds! Really good water saving ploy!
